To My Dynamite Dad

I've had this container of toilet paper rolls sitting in the closet since last October. Every time Mark opens the closet he tells me I should throw them away. I have to admit I think it every time I open it too, but I knew somehow I could use some of them and Father's Day finally presented the perfect opportunity.

I officially consider myself the cheesiest person in the World to have such a fun time helping my kids make this father's day gift today. If you know my adventure-filled, exciting Mark, you know this is just simply the perfect gift for him.

"To My Dynamite Dad". We wrapped the toilet paper rolls with construction paper, glued them on a heavy duty circle of poster board, decorated them with fun star stickers and 'TNT', filled them with Daddy's favorite candies, closed them off with some tinfoil and added a pipe cleaner fire wick.

Not only am I excited for the kids to give it to him tomorrow, but I can't wait for him to see just how resourceful I can be...Even if it takes me 9 months to figure it out. HA HA!

I am truly blessed to have such a Dynamite Husband. Just holding his hand makes me feel that there's nothing we can't conquer together. I am truly blessed to have found my perfect match! I love him with all my heart forever! Happy Father's Day to my Mark.

Grandma's Favorite Things

Andy water-colored Mark's Mom a picture for her birthday and it was so cute! He said it was a picture of all of Grandma's favorite things.

He is such a sweetheart!

Valentine's Monsters

What fun would Valentine's Day be without a nifty Valentine's Box?? I was so excited when Andy got a special assignment at preschool to use his creativity to make a valentine's box with his Mom. I asked Andy what it was he wanted to make and he told me he wanted a furry green monster with big teeth and big eyes. All we needed was some felt, fun fur yarn, pon-pons, wiggly eyes and pipe cleaners, this is what our creativity came up with:

Two hairy monsters ready for a yummy Valentine's feast! Since Andy's box was such a hit with Luke we had to make him one too. My favorite part was adding little heart and flower jewels as eyelashes (You'll have to click on the picture to really see them).

Andy's teacher laughed when we turned it in and said that she loved it and that I was just like her...."I have to go all out on a project." What can I say...a box covered with paper and hearts just wasn't good enough for me or Andy.

Andy had a blast at his first ever Valentine's party at preschool. His teacher is so sweet, I just love her!
Andy and Luke carry their boxes around the house everywhere like they are their best friends. Luke will ask for a fruit snack but I have to feed it to his monster first. It's funny! I've said it before but holidays bring on such a whole new meaning when you have children. My life feels so fulfilled when I see my boys happy.
